Tears

One of what I'd consider to be my finest renders.

The render alone was awesome, but it wasn't until I got it into Photoshop that I really started to see how good it was.

It was originally upside down. I rotated it 180 degrees and left it that way after I randomly found out that it looked ALOT like a water drop hitting the groud. It was heavily desaturated and the hue was tweaked a tad because the original blues were stronger than I ended up wanting. After that, I threw a grid overlay into the background, and added the border thing. The inspiration for the border came from Star Trek. The Cardassians of Star Trek always had computer screens that looked shattered. In otherwords, the display was broken into several triangular like viewing areas. I thought something similar would look kinda cool as a border, as I did that. The final touches were the text and the silloutte of the water drop.

I think it took about a week of tweaking and working to get what I wanted. I used it as a desktop for about a month before I moved on. The only thing I ended up disliking slightly about it was the border. The way I place my icons, the border was always slightly in the way. But I coped with it, because it was too cool to redo any other way.
